Team Composition and Center Organizational Structure


The Sustainable Electrochemical Energy Development Center (SEED) is led by Professor Bing Joe Hwang, with a total of 27 professors and researchers combining expertise from different departments both within and outside the university. The center's organizational structure can be broadly categorized into three main groups: Administrative Management, Academic Research, and Industry Development. The detailed organizational structure is illustrated in the diagram below, and a list of personnel, their expertise, and their involvement in the center's work can be found in the appendix.

 

It is worth noting that the center has invited internationally renowned scholars and industry leaders to serve as members of the Advisory Board, assisting in shaping the center's long-term operations, establishing research specialties, and striving for international excellence. Advisory Board members include Professor/ Director Martin Winter from the German MEET Center, Professor Zempachi Ogumi, Battery Master of Kyoto University in Japan, Professor Arumugam Manthiram from The University of Texas at Austin, Professor Hongjie Dai, a member of the National Academy of Sciences and professor at Stanford University in the United States, Dr. Boryann Liao from the Idaho National Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy, Academician Maw-Kuen Wu, Academician Li-Chyong Chen, National Chair Professor Juin-Yih Lai from Chung Yuan University's Thin Film Center, Chairman SS Chang from Advanced Lithium Electrochemistry Co., Ltd. (Aleees) , Chairman ZC Chen from BenQ Materials Corporation, Chairman CC Chang from GUS Technology Corporation, and Director MC Tsai from the Refining & Manufacturing Research Institute of CPC Corporation, Taiwan.
