Associate Professor Yu-Cheng Chiu of the Department of Chemical Engineering and SEED Center at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology has been dedicated to polymer science, stretchable and self-healing semiconductor materials, polymer semiconductors, and flexible optoelectronic devices for 10 years. Recently, he has combined traditional rubber with the latest semiconductor technologies to establish nano self-healing platform technology, developing the first flexible semiconductor material with self-healing function and device verification. This technology can be used in the future for the development of electronic skin for biomedical sensing technology, assisting in monitoring body inflammation indices and ion changes. He has also been honored with the "Wu Ta-You Memorial Award" this year (2024).
